Welcome to the 4th Grade!

Dear Class,

Welcome to the 4th Grade!  I am so excited for this year to get started.  Each of you is so unique and I can't wait to get to know you better.  Over the first few days we will be discussing and experiencing classroom expectations and "norms."  Also, we will get to know each other.  What did you do over the summer?  I spent time with my family and worked at my summer job.

This is a picture of my mom, dad, son (Jack) and daughter (Maddie). We spent time in St Augustine, Florida.  The beach was our favorite part.

Have you ever seen the waterfalls past Sundance?  They are on the way to Provo.  You have to check them out!

I love spending time with Maddie!  She is so sweet and fun.

Jack is 11 years old.  Time flies.

See you on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.  We are in for a treat.  I can't wait to learn with you this year.

Love,

Ms. Taylor

Welcome Letter 2016-2017

Dear Parents and Students,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to my awesome fourth grade class this year. I am Ms. Taylor, and I have a passion for teaching and learning! Of all grades in elementary, fourth is, by far, my favorite.
Plan on going on an academic adventure as we discover together this year! Science is centered on everything in Utah's natural environment. We will take a trip through Utah's history in Social Studies. Integrating music, dance and art will enhance the dynamic educational experience in our classroom. We will follow the Utah Core as we use hands-on activities and problem solving to create a deeper understanding in Math. Writing becomes more involved in fourth grade as we research for reports, organize paragraphs, and story-tell with fascinating details.
Our open house is on August 23rd and is a great opportunity to make connections and release our first-day “butterflies” before the first day of school. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Sincerely,
Ms. Taylor
