http://www.kidrex.org - results look similar to google results, but kid friendly

http://www.geographia.com/ - specific geography info - only has select countries and cities but could help kids pick a city once they choose part of the world

http://kiddle.co/ - another kid friendly search engine (just make sure to show your students how to skip the ads at the beginning)

http://www.timeforkids.com/around-the-world - focused more on the countries but could be helpful for some
